Carroll County pulled away with a dominating third quarter to beat Dayton 63-30 in boys basketball Saturday on the road.

The Panthers led 30-18 at halftime and turned the game into a rout with a 22-5 third-quarter run as Carroll cruised to its 10th win of the season from there.

Jacob Wise and Trey Boles scored 14 points each to lead the Panthers and Dakota Corbin had 13 points. Boles also had 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.

Derrick Holt led Dayton with 12 points.

Carroll County shot nearly 50 percent from the floor (24-for-49) and was 13-for-15 from the free-throw line. Dayton couldn't keep pace with a 13-for-46 (28 percent) performance which included 0-for-4 from 3-point range.

Carroll (10-7) plays Williamstown in the opening round of the All "A" Classic Eighth Region Tournament at Walton-Verona on Wednesday.
