Carroll County exploded for 47 points in the second half and pulled away for a 72-60 win over host Bracken County in the opening round of the Bracken County Tournament on Thursday.

The Panthers trailed 31-25 at halftime but out-scored Bracken 22-11 in the third and 25-18 in the fourth to score the win and end a three-game losing streak.

Jacob Wise scored 21 points and had three assists to lead Carroll County. Blake Kruzan had 15 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and four steals. Isaiah Hogan had 14 points and Dakota Corbin had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Austin Crawford scored 26 points and Ryan May 20 for Bracken County.
