It may have been frigid cold outside but Trimble County's boys basketball team was red-hot inside in an 87-52 road win over Walden on Monday.

The Raiders, winners of three-straight and four of their last five, had five different players score in double figures in the win. Junior Evan Long hit six 3-pointers and scored 21 points while sophomore Michael Dunaway added 20 points.

In addition, Andrew Young had 13 points, Dusty Wyssbrod scored 11 and Josh Rexroat scored 10 in a balanced effort.

"A strong offensive performance from the Raiders," Trimble County coach Johnny Leep III said. "We continued to share the ball and be very unselfish."

Trimble County (6-8) opened the game with a rush, scoring 27 points in the first quarter while opening an 11-point lead. The Raiders led 51-31 at halftime and 70-46 after three quarters before coasting to the win.

In addition to its shooting from the floor, Trimble was also 14-of-16 from the free-throw line.

Charles Thomas scored 21 points to lead Walden (3-7). Sean Dowling added 11 points.

Trimble County returns to action tonight when the Raiders visit Beth Haven in Louisville, Ky.
