Anderson has been selected to win the 2013 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference softball title in a vote of league coaches while Hanover was picked eighth.

The Ravens claimed 80 total points and eight first-place votes in the coaches' preseason poll.

Bluffton placed second in the poll with 66 total points and one first-place vote and was followed by Manchester (60 points), Transylvania (59), Defiance (39), Rose-Hulman (34), Franklin (28), Hanover (22), and Mount St. Joseph (17).

Hanover pitcher Leah Kemmerer, shortstop Dani Merrick and third baseman-shortstop Abby Murphy were named players to watch by the league.

Mount St. Joseph senior Tanya Sefton, a Switzerland County High School graduate, was also named a player to watch.
