Southwestern's swimmers posted 25 best times in a dual meet sweep Tuesday at home.

The Lady Rebels won nine events and swept the top three positions in six events en route to a team score of 122 points. Silver Creek had 14 points and Shawe tallied 12.

Southwestern had six wins in the boys meet and totaled 86 points. Silver Creek had 62 points.

"Nathan Anderson had a really strong 100 back. Rebekah Anderson, Nicholas Battjes, Ryan Furnish, and Dylan Truesdell, Zaynah Watson, and Meredith Webber each had best times in both of their individual events," Southwestern coach Shelly Hamilton said. "We'll mix events up one more time on Thursday before choosing sectional events.

"(Shawe's) Liz Grote dropped 38 seconds from her 500 free and three from her 100 breast," Hamilton added. "She continues to improve."

Grote won both of her events. She took the 500-yard freestyle in 5:58.69 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:19.06.
