The Hilltoppers trailed by four early in the fourth quarter when David Grote was fouled in the act of shooting a 3-pointer and hit all three free throws to pull Shawe within one.
Turnovers and Christian Academy free throws over the next few possessions allowed the Warriors to take control and pull out the win.
"The frustrating part was that we didn't play that poorly, but down the stretch we didn't individually compete as well as them," Shawe coach Matt Traylor said. "I thought we played hard but couldn't make some of the tougher plays CA was able to make.
"Hopefully we can take something positive out of this and carry it in to our final two games and sectionals."
Luke Higgins led Shawe with 17 points, three assists and two steals while Grote had 14 points and seven rebounds and Taylor Rhoten scored 10 points.
Devonta King was a perfect 12-for-12 from the floor and scored 27 points to lead Christian. Aaron Hayes had 22 points for the Warriors and went over the 1,000-point milestone during the game.
Shawe, now 7-11 on the season, hosts Rock Creek on Friday.
