Shawe harriers compete at Silver Creek's Dragon Invitational

Shawe cross country competed in the Dragon Invitational at Silver Creek on Tuesday.
Neither squad fielded complete teams to qualify for points but had competitors in both races.
In the girls meet, Caroline Wehner was 24th in 22:42 and Hannah Storm was 61st in 25:43.
In the boys race, Skip Maas led the Hilltoppers with a 122nd place finish in 21:20. Andrew Ott was 138th at 22:19 while Colin Hambrick and Daniel Carillo were 160th and 162nd, respectively.
Shawe runs in the Great Pumpkin Invitational at South Ripley on Thursday.
Providence beats Madison boys in soccer
Providence defeated Madison boys soccer 3-1 on Tuesday in Madison.
The visiting Pioneers got two goals from Logan Rauck and one from Brent Hesse.
No other details were available at presstime.
Pioneers beat Lady Cubs in soccer
Madison girls soccer lost 6-2 to Hoosier Hills Conference opponent New Albany Monday on the road Monday
Catherin Fisher and Alex Thurnall each scored a goal each for the Cubs.
Madison hosts Rising Sun on Thursday.
Trimble places 3rd at NCKC golf tourney
Trimble County and Carroll County girls golf competed in the North Central Kentucky Conference tournament on Tuesday at Wheatley Golf Course.
Owen County won the conference championship with Henry County finishing second. Trimble County placed third, Williamstown fourth, Gallatin County fifth, Carroll County sixth and Walton-Verona seventh to round out the team results.
Team scores and individual scores were not available.
Trimble County competes in the regional tournament next Tuesday at Eagle Creek Golf Course. Carroll County hosts Owen County and Walton-Verona on Thursday.
Lady Pacers shut out Rebels in soccer
Southwestern girls soccer played a solid second half but suffered a 10-0 loss on Tuesday at Switzerland County.
Southwestern hosts Madison's junior varsity team today.
