Shiners beat Pacers, Rebs, Hilltoppers

Switzerland County's, Southwestern's and Shawe's boys golf teams competed against two other Ohio River Valley Conference foes on Tuesday in the Rising Sun Invitational at The Links at Rising Star.
Rising Sun won the match with a 148. Switzerland County was 18 strokes back in second place at 166 and Rebels were third with a 176. Shawe finished fourth with a 185 and South Ripley rounded out the scoring at 189.
Rising Sun's Bryce Murray was medalist of the invitational with an even-par 35.
Alex Curran led Switzerland County with a 38 and Clint Swanson was one-stroke back at 39. Celby Kinney had a 42, Logan Todd shot a 47 and Dustin Tice carded a non-scoring 49.
Southwestern was led by Michael Perry with a four-over par 39. Ashton Hill shot a 42 and Brynen Chitwood and Stacey Noble shot a 44 and 51, respectively. Colton Sheperd carded a non-scoring 58.
Joey Mingione paced Shawe with a 38 and Alex Reuss had a 40. Eamon Fry shot a 49, Collin Hambrick had a 58 and Chris Petersen had a non-scoring 59.
Brady Murray followed Bryce Murray with a 36 to lead Rising Sun. Austin Armstrong had a 38, Jordan King had a 39 and Aron Walker a non-scoring 43.
Devin Tankersley led South Ripley with a 39, Shawn Ryle and Joey Waldron each shot 45, Michael Pope had a 55 and Devon Sexton a non-scoring 59.
Southwestern hosts Scottsburg and Rock Creek today at Spring Hills Golf Course.
