Switzerland County got off to a big start and never looked back to pull away for a 66-40 win at New Washington in boys basketball on Friday.

The Pacers led 19-8 after the first quarter and 32-19 at halftime. The Swiss then turned the game into a rout with a 17-6 third quarter which saw them take a 49-25 lead into the final quarter.

New Washington was done-in in part by 29 turnovers.

Junior Austin Clark led Switzerland with 20 points while T.J. White had a career-high 14 points off the bench.

Ian Hughes led New Washington (6-9) with 15 points. Dustin Cooper added nine for the Mustangs, who have lost three straight.

Switzerland, now 10-4 on the season, visits Milan tonight.
