Switzerland County enters its third season of varsity wrestling with high hopes thanks to a regional placer a year ago and a 13-man roster this year.

Junior Tyler Thomas, sixth in the regional last year, will compete at 220 pounds. Senior Chase Richards will also be a fixture at 160 pounds. The Pacers also include five freshmen.

"I have a great group of freshmen this year as this the first year of our freshmen that started in little league wrestling, through middle school wrestling, and now entering the high school team," Switzerland coach Rick Wallace said. "I am very excited about the outlook of this year's team."

Alleysha Jones (220 pounds) is the team's only other senior. Juniors are Dakota Godwin (160) and Alex Herbery (195), sophomores are Michael Wesley (126), Tyler Norfleet (152) and Luke Birch (285), and freshmen are Keegan Ray (106), Austin Dennis (120), Casper Stow (126), Rio Gonzales (126) and Cody Wilson (182).
