Trimble boys post lone net wins at Franklin Co.

Trimble County's boys and girls varsity tennis teams came out on the wrong end of varsity matches to Franklin County High School Wednesday in Frankfort.
Trimble's only wins of the day came in the boys match when No. 1 singles player Damon Copeland defeated Stefan Zignat 6-2, 6-1 and the Raiders' No. 1 doubles team of Reese True and Dylan Stethen defeated Charlie Starzman and Logan Goodwin 6-1 6-0 in a 3-2 loss to Franklin County.
The girls' closest loss came at No. 2 singles where Alex Lawhorn fell 6-1 6-4 to the Flyers' Cata Steitz as Franklin County beat Trimble 5-0.
In other girls action, Franklin's No. 1 singles player, Kelley Barker, defeated Trimble's Ciarra Harmon 6-0, 6-0 and the Raiders' Elisabeth Moore fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Franklin's No. 1 doubles team of Lili Williams and Sydney Preston defeated Trimble's Micah Hess and Kalee Cook 6-0, 6-0 and Reena Shewekah and Mary Grace Amato topped Trimble's Diane Payton and Whitney Wingham.
In boys action, No. 2 singles Cameron Smith (FC) def. Nick Kleinhenz (TC) 6-4, 6-1; No. 3 singles Abhi Dharanipragada (FC) def. Kenny Payton (TC) 6-0, 6-0; and No. 2 doubles Clay Marshall and John Paul Roberts (FC) def. Austin Dixon and Alex Dixon (TC) 6-1, 6-3.
Trimble visits Collins April 8 for a boys-girls match.
