Owen County used its size to seize control early and pull away for a 56-41 win over Trimble County in boys basketball Tuesday in Owenton.

The host Rebels led 17-8 after the first quarter and 26-16 at halftime. Owen steadily pulled away from there for the 15-point win.

Robbie Brooks led Trimble with 12 points and Ethan Merrill scored 11. Zack Ripy led Owen County with 20 points and Carson Williams had 13.

Trimble, now 0-2 overall and in the North Central Kentucky Conference, visits St. Francis on Thursday.
