Jefferson County: An investigation that began in April has resulted in three felony charges against a Madison man. In April investigators from the Kentucky State Police Post in Campbellsburg made contact with Indiana State Police investigators regarding an investigation they were conducting on a Madison man for alleged sex crimes that had occurred in Trimble County, Kentucky. During their investigation they discovered the suspect, 39 year old Kirk Chism of Madison, was believed to have committed similar crimes with the same victim in Jefferson County, Indiana.
The investigation in Indiana revealed Chism, a teacher at Trimble County High School in Kentucky, allegedly had been involved in a sexual relationship with a 17 year old female Trimble County High School student and had engaged in sexual conduct in Jefferson County. Chism, who had his initial hearing in Jefferson Superior Court in Madison earlier today, is facing three counts of Child Seduction, a Class D Felony. Chism is currently free on bail.

Anyone who knows Kirk knows he is a great guy. But great guys have bad moments. Kirk is probably ADHD, which means he is impulsive. If you attended church or school with him, you know that he is like that.
What ever happened wasn't right, but he is not a predator. She consented at some point to say it appears to have been ongoing. There are no inncoent victims in this situation.

I do not believe a word of it! Kirk Chism is an upstanding wonderful father and neighbor to the town of Madison.
