| Honoring Korean War Veterans As part of this year's Veterans Day observance, Carrollton's American Legion Post 41 honored local Korean War veterans.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice in 1953.
On July 27, 1953, representatives of the United Nations Command, the Korean People's Army and Chinese People's Volunteers agreed to terms establishing the Korean Armistice Agreement.
The agreement brought to a close the fighting that had gone on since 1950 when the war began.
