Courier Sports Staff
Switzerland County built a late four-point lead then held on to post a 61-60 win over Trinity Lutheran Friday in boys basketball.
The Pacers went up 61-57 in the waning moments of the game but the host Cougars pulled within one with a bucket and a free throw. Despite two turnovers, the Swiss defense played well at the end, and both of Trinity's potential game winners went astray.
Travis Tackett led Switzerland County with 15 points while Brennan Bragg and Tray Meyer each scored 11.
Brant Frische scored 15 points and Cameron Hensley and Matt Stuckwisch each had 11 to lead Trinity.
Switzerland hosts Rising Sun Friday in a non-conference matchup.
