A Worthville man was arrested on a criminal mischief charge.
George Hoover III was arrested on charge of criminal mischief, first-degree.
Gallatin County resident Erica Zimmer said in her criminal complaint filed against Hoover that Hoover had damaged the roof of her car and the left rear quarter panel by striking the vehicle. The damage is in excess of $1,000, Zimmer said.
Hoover will appear at 10 a.m. Nov. 13 for a preliminary hearing in the 15th District Court in Carroll County.
Sheriff arrests Gallatin Co. woman on gas theft charge
A Gallatin County woman was arrested in Carroll County on a theft-related charge.
Erica J. Zimmer, 25, of Walton, was arrested on charge of theft by unlawful taking, gasoline.
Carroll County Deputy Sheriff J.T. Shaw said in his written report that Zimmer had pulled up to the gas pump at the Shell Gas Station in Prestonville. Zimmer had pumped gasoline into her car, put the nozzle on the ground and ran to the drivers seat of her car and drove off.
Shaw said Zimmer had no means to pay for the gasoline and admitted she had stolen fuel from the gas station in the past. Zimmer's mother paid for the fuel with a credit card over the phone for all the fuel she had stolen in the past. The total was about $100, Shaw said.
Zimmer will appear at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 13 for arraignment in the 15th District Court in Carroll County.
