    The call arrived at the Dupont Firehouse late Saturday morning: two Boy Scouts lost in the woodlands of Camp Louis Ernst.
  • Summer of invention
    Camp Invention and Invention Project, weeklong camps at Madison Consolidated Junior High School, are in the sixth year of providing numerous classroom oppportunities to engage students over summer break, including activities aimed to pique student interests in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Break in rain, thunderstorms could arrive 
midweek
    Showers and thunderstorms continued sporadically through the weekend and into the first of this week, but without significant damage reported. Some weekend events either were canceled, postponed or rescheduled. 
  • Miss Madison Regatta Pageant contestants
    The 2019 Miss Madison Regatta Pageant will be include 10 young women from Jefferson, Clark and Scott counties in Indiana and Carroll County in Kentucky. The pageant, sponsored by German American Bank, will be Monday, July 1 at North Madison Christian Church as part of this year’s APBA Gold Cup and Indiana Governor’s Cup Madison Regatta and Roostertail Music Festival.
