EXHIBITS
Madison Art Club: The Madison Art Club, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this month, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is one of the oldest continuously operating art clubs in Indiana. The Club’s permanent exhibit gallery and gift shop is located at Art On Main Gallery and Gift Shop at 309 W. Main St. in Madison. The 3,000 square foot artist-operated gallery and gift shop features original paintings, drawings, pottery, sculpture, woodwork, jewelry, wearable art and other unique pieces created by over 50 members of the Madison Art Club. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The club meets on the third thursday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Art on Main Gallery. The club will not meet in June and Dec. The July theme will be all things Madison.
The Art of Healing: Selections from 21 pieces of art by regional artists were chosen by a three-panel committee to bring artwork to the Seasons Cafe of King’s Daughters’ Hospital. This quarterly exhibit runs from July 1 through Sept. 23. Artists selected for this rotation include Debi Black, Harry Elburg, Dallas Gambill, Lou Knoble, Richard Leep. Belva Lowry, Alice Ramsby, Rodney Reveal, Jennifer Ripley, Dottie Shepherd, Brenda Shropshire, Elle Smith, Donna Thompson, Barbara Tompary, Carole Williams, Lillie Wingham and Linda Wood. The Art of Nature: This new exhibit features 16 local and regional artists. This quarterly exhibit runs from July 1 through Sept. 26. Artists selected for this rotation include Barbara Tompary, Gloria Gayle Moczurnik, Karen Wohlleb, Alice Ramsby, Elle Smith, Harry Elburg, Rodney Reveal, Daniel Mowery, Karen Taylor, Lou Knoble, Stephanie Helman, Nancy Reynolds, Cindy Vanderbur and Dallas Gambill.
