Riding a Republican wave, Bob Courtney won the Madison mayor’s post by a margin of about 20 percent against his Democratic opponent, Julie Berry.

He led a ticket victorious ticket that put Rick Berry in the clerk-treasurer’s post and Republicans Patrick Thevenow, Amanda Creech, Lucy Dattilo, Katie Hosier-Rampy, Curtis Chatham and Jim Bartlett on the city council. Dan Dattilo was the lone Democrat to win a council seat with his victory in an at-large position. Republican Keith Mefford defeated incumbent Democrat Donna Pettit in the race for Hanover clerk-treasurer.

The voter turnout was 41.49% or 4,143 voters of the 9,986 registered.
