Major Samuel Woodfill Post 9 Centennial Celebration Birthday Party: Come join the centennial celebration for The American Legion with a concert by the band Remember Me Monday. Knitting: Cross and Diamond Afghan: Students will learn to knit a color work afghan in a mosaic style by combining clipped stitches and knitting one color at a time from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library in Hanover. Materials needed are two to three skeins each of a light and dark color worsted weight yarn of your choice, size 8 circular needles in a 29-inch length or longer, stitch markers and darning needle to weave in ends.
