Smyrna Homemakers met Jan. 15 at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Twelve members and one guest were present.
The meeting was opened by President Glenda Schirmer, who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was answered with “What is your funniest commercial.”
The Ronald Reagan thought of the month was “We cannot help everyone, but everyone can help someone.” Members then sang “Frosty the Snowman.”
Jane Wilson gave the treasurer report and Wanda Stewart gave the secretary report. March 10 is the District Meeting at Rising Sun and registration is due by March 1.
The lesson handout was titled “Take Time For Your Health.” June Chatham gave a lesson on foods high in calories and fat. More dates for selling quilt raffle tickets were set.
