Spring Bird Count: Meet at 8 a.m. on May 11 at the Clifty Falls State Park Clifty Inn to participate in the Indiana Audubon Society’s Spring Bird Count for Jefferson County. Spring Spectacular Vendor Show: The Trimble County Junior Senior High School will host this event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 11. Local handmade vendors, direct sales companies and food vendors will be set up in the gymnasium. Money raised will help the sophmore class of 2021.

Madison in Bloom: Spring Garden Tour: Sponsored by the Jefferson County Historical Society, this event offers a tour of private, blossoming gardens not normally open to the public and one public house museum garden. Plant Exchange: Bring extra plants from your garden to share with fellow gardeners from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 11 at the Jefferson County Public Library in Madison and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library in Hanover. Candy Land Tea Party: This 5th annual HOPPS Inc. tea party will be from noon to 2 p.m. on May 11 at the ballroom of Belterra Casino Resort in Florence. The Art of Healing: Selections from 21 pieces of art by regional artists were chosen by a three-panel committee to bring artwork to the Seasons Cafe of King’s Daughters’ Hospital. Brush of Spring: The Madison Art Club will host this spring themed exhibit throughout May at Art on Main Gallery & Gift Shop. This exhibit opens May 1 and runs through May 31. It will feature original artwork by the MAC artists. A reception will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on May 18 at the Art on Main Gallery & Gift Shop, where you can meet the artists and stroll around the gallery and giftshop.
