  • Wallace new MPD chief
    Former Madison Police Chief and Jefferson County Sheriff John Wallace has been appointed police chief by Mayor Bob Courtney.

    Wallace, who was Madison police chief from 2007 until he was elected to his first of two terms as sheriff in 2010, takes over for interim chief Ben McKay, who has been named assistant chief.
