The City of Madison’s 2017 Christmas ornaments are now available.

This year’s design, the fourth in a series, features the exterior of the Ohio Theatre. Of the 250 made, only around 200 of the solid brass, gold-plated ornaments are still available.

Each piece can be purchased for $20 at German American Bank, the Madison Visitors Center and City Hall. Proceeds from the sale will support the city’s holiday events, such as the Very Merry Christmas Parade.

A small amount of 2016’s ornament, featuring the Fair Play Fire Company fire house, also are available at City Hall.

Christmas parade coordinator Aaron Kelsey has announced the title sponsor for this year’s event, Arvin Sango.

Kelsey said North Madison Christian Church, Madison Precision, German American Bank, King’s Daughters’ Health, and Hong Kong Kitchen have also agreed to sponsorship.

As planning for the parade continues, Kelsey is looking for sponsors to support this year’s six large helium balloons.

The parade’s first confirmed entertainment will be supplied by the Indiana National Guard’s 38th Division 42 member military band out of Indianapolis.
