Hanover's annual Party in the Park will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 200 Spruce Lane.

This is the fourth year for the family event, which is open to the public and includes food, games and live music.

The free music kicks off at 11 a.m. with the Hearts of Joy, a local gospel band.

They will be followed by dulcimer player John Sheckler at noon.

Country music group The Bowling Family will take the stage at 1 p.m. The final act of the afternoon will be bluegrass group Hoosier Hills at 2 p.m.

Debbie Kroger, Hanover Town Council president, said the town tried to get a wide variety of musical acts this year.

"We've had a couple of (the performers) in the past," Kroger said. "And we asked a couple of them to come in the past, but they had other events at the time. We're pretty excited to have them all here this year."

The Hanover Police Department will also set up a fingerprinting and identification center for children.

Free hotdogs, chips and drinks will also be provided.

"Everything's free," Kroger said. "We just asked whoever wanted to come and set up and just have fun. It's something that the council likes to do each year, just to show our appreciation to the citizens of Hanover. It's a chance for everyone to come out and have a good time."
