That Book Place will hold a book signing Saturday for a Kentucky author who writes psychological thrillers about a psychic detective.

Lynn Tincher, author of "Afterthoughts," "Buried Deep" and newly released "Left in the Dark" will be signing books from noon until 3 p.m.

Tincher, who was born in LaGrange, Ky., and lives in Prospect, Ky., has been writing short stories, newspaper articles and articles for travel brochures for several years. She visits schools and puts on writing workshops to help aspiring writers. She also serves as the Louisville creative writing examiner on www.examiner.com and is the books writer for www.louisville.com.

She studied theater arts in college and wanted to teach drama and English classes. Her inspirations include Robert Powell, Nora Roberts, Piers Anthony and J.K. Rowling.

The three books are a series that focus on Paige Aldridge, a psychic detective, and her sister Junna. In the first book, "Afterthoughts," Paige is hunting a serial killer. While she is also trying to help Junna, she still is determined to crack the case.

"Her investigations send her spiraling down a path of self-doubt, fear, and betrayal," Tincher said on her website.

In "Left in the Dark," the second book in the series, the focus turns more toward Junna and takes a deeper look at demonic possession. The sisters work to save two children who are in danger while working on their own psychic abilities and strengthening their relationship.

"Buried Deep," which was released earlier this month, follows the sisters to New Orleans to investigate a double homicide. Upon their arrival, they find themselves " in a whirlwind of death and devastation," Tincher wrote.
