Balloons, bubbles and bubble gum will all be highlighted at Vevay's First Friday event - Bubblepalooza - tomorrow.

Free balloons and bubbles will be available for children, while supplies last, at the Visitors Center located at 128 W. Main St. in downtown Vevay. You can also win a jar of bubble gum by guessing the number of pieces inside. The exact or closest guess wins the gum.

The First Friday festivities will take place form 6 to 9 p.m. in Vevay's downtown area.

The monthly event will also feature late- night shopping, dining, art galleries, live music and free carriage rides.

Featured entertainers include The Makeshifts, performing 1950s style rock 'n' roll and rockabilly music, and Rhythm & Groove, performing blues tunes by Sandy Pickett and Jill King.

The event is sponsored in part by Switzerland County Tourism. September's First Friday theme will be "Chalk the Walk" with music from Brittany Gilstrap & My Brother's Keeper and Jimmy Mundane.
