The fifth annual Indiana Wine Trail Fall Haul takes place this weekend with three Jefferson County wineries participating in the event.

The Indiana Wine Trail Fall Haul event features foods and wine tasting throughout Saturday and Sunday at six southeastern Indiana wineries from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Ann Mulligan, marketing director at VisitMadison, Inc., said foods will be paired with the available wines or uses wine as an ingredient for the recipe.

"It's all about the wine," Mulligan said of the event.

The six wineries will feature food from wine sauces to wine tapas and wine cakes, along with samples of the handcrafted wine.

"They all do something special," Mulligan said.

The Indiana Wine Trail Fall Haul tasting event is free, and wine and full portions of the food featured will be available throughout the event.

Other special events will be hosted throughout the weekend at the wineries as well with commemorative recipes of the foods will also be available long the trail. Some visitors have collected the recipes throughout the years, Mulligan said.
