A Madison group will highlight regional artists with an exhibit from a Floyd County group beginning this weekend.

The Madison Art Club is hosting an exhibition by the Floyd County Crit Club at the Art on Main Gallery, 309 W. Main St. Pieces in the exhibit will be on display at the gallery from Saturday through the end April.

A public award ceremony and reception is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Refreshments will be served and participating artists will be present.

The Crit Club’s art show will be judged in both amateur and professional categories by former MAC member Bill Borden.

Borden is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art where he earned a degree in industrial design. He worked as a designer with Ford Motor Company Design Center in Dearborn, Mich. and the Ford Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He now lives in Hanover and spends much of his time as a watercolor painter.

Borden’s pieces have been displayed in a variety of local and national exhibits.

The Floyd County Crit Club meets on the third Monday of each month, at Westminster Village, 2200 N. Greentree Blvd. in Clarksville. For more information about the Crit Club, call (812) 945-7561.
