A clerk who worked at the former Raq Shaq was sentenced to three years of probation Thursday.

Matthew Bennett, 28, pleaded guilty to dealing a controlled substance, a Class D felony. Police arrested Bennett after performing controlled buys at the Raq Shaq, a former novelty shop on the hilltop. The substances Bennett, Keith Bilz and Tara Johnson sold tested positive to be synthetic drugs, according to court records.

Bennett will serve three years on probation and pay $668 in fines, fees and court costs.
