A mobile home was destroyed in a fire Saturday on Ann Trace in Hanover.

Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire around 6:39 p.m., Madison Township Fire Department Chief Robert Black said.

Arriving just three minutes after the call went out, he said, flames were already venting out the doors of the home. While the home was “totaled inside,” he said, occupants were able to escape without injury.

Black said it appeared something cooking on the kitchen stove ignited the blaze.

Firefighters from Madison Township, Ryker’s Ridge and Hanover Volunteer departments battled the blaze for about 30 minutes before it was contained.

No firefighters were injured during the incident.
