A Bedford, Kentucky, man who was found dead after his Jeep crashed on U.S. 42 Saturday in Bedford apparently died of natural causes.

Trimble County Coroner Frederica Ransdell Congleton has ruled that Allan D. Stark, 76, of Bedford, Kentucky, most likely died of a heart attack, causing him to lose control of his vehicle.

Kentucky State Police also investigated the incident which took place at 11:46 a.m. Saturday, June 29 about 0.2 miles east of Bedford. Stark was traveling east on U.S. 42 East and went off the right side of the roadway.

He was dead in the vehicle when authorities arrived at the scene.

Stark was not wearing a seat belt but his injuries were not severe enough to cause death which contributed to the death by natural causes, Congleton said.
