The Jefferson County 4-H Fair has announced its 2020 Virtual Fair Show Schedule for events that will be webcast on YouTube.

The fair canceled its on-site events in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic — much like most other fairs and festivals — but announced that a number of 4-H projects and activities would continue with judging taking place virtually.

“Our youth and their families have continued to work hard on their projects and activities,” Jefferson County Fair Board President Scott Hubbard said in a release. “Fair projects are being turned in and judged this week. This is a once in a 100-year fair and we invite the public to participate by watching our virtual shows online. We will be posting videos of our shows on a schedule that approximately mirrors what we have done for live events in the past.”

ouTube links to videos will be posted by 10 a.m. on the organization’s social media pages — Purdue Extension-Jefferson County on Facebook and @jeffersoncounty.pe on Instagram.

“We hope that you will continue to support our county youth by watching their shows and encouraging them in this highly unusual year,” Hubbard wrote.
