The City of Milton Water & Sewer Department has issued a precautionary boil water advisory after a water main break there on Wednesday.

Customers who live on Detmer Lane, from 1111 Liberty Road to 3876 Liberty Road, Race Track Road, Queens Lane, Kruse Lane, and from 4134 Coopers Bottom Road to 4798 Coopers Bottom Road are in the affected area.

“Although no contamination has been confirmed we recommend that when your water service resumes that you: Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for three (3) minutes, and let cool before using, or use bottled water,” the advisory statment said. “Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This advisory is being issued as a precautionary action and will be lifted with the approval of the Kentucky Division of Water.”
