The two persons of interest in last Wednesday’s roadside shooting near O’Bannon Woods State Park in Harrison County have been located and taken into custody by police in South Dakota.

Timothy Edward Sargent, 41, and Savanna Louise Emich, 20, both of Ohio, were taken into custody in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after allegedly being involved in a pursuit near Sioux Falls.

Sargeant, who has not been formally charged with any crime in Indiana, but is wanted for attempted murder in Ohio and is a person of interest in Ohio and West Virginia murders, was lodged in the Minnehaha County Jail at 6:27 a.m. Monday.

Emich was lodged in the same jail at 6:32 a.m. today and both are being held as fugitives from justice with no bond set.

The two are wanted in Indiana for questioning in the roadside shooting of a Jefferson County, Kentucky, family that wounded a man and a woman at State Road 462 and Old Forest Road in southwest Harrison County and the abandonment of the car believed used in the attack and the theft of a pickup truck about 15 miles away in Crawford County.

Authorities had asked for help in locating the couple last week but cautioned that both individuals should be considered armed and dangerous and not be approached.

According to the ISP, additional information could be forthcoming as details develop in the case.
