A man who escaped deputies during a domestic disturbance in Switzerland County Thursday morning is back in police custody.

Authorities say 23-year-old Matthew Davis slipped through his handcuffs and exited a patrol car after he was arrested in the 8000 block of Cogley Cole Road in Vevay at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies also arrested 26-year-old Robert B. Davis during the incident.

Police searched for Matthew Davis until about 1:20 p.m. Thursday. Robert Davis was jailed in the Switzerland County Detention Center on an outstanding warrant

Matthew Davis was taken back into custody shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday.

Law enforcement discovered that the two men were wanted on warrants after a record check.
