Two people were injured in a car fire Wednesday night in Trimble County.

Tommy Floyd of Glencoe, a passenger in the vehicle, was flown to University of Louisville Hospital for his injuries, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said.

Another passenger, James Lucas of Madison, was transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton for his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, April Williamson of Carrollton, was not injured.

Milton and Bedford fire departments received reports of a car fire with people still inside the vehicle in the 4400 block of Corn Creek Road around 9:50 p.m. All passengers were out of the vehicle when fire units arrived, Long said.

The vehicle wasn't involved in an accident, Long said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Milton And Bedford fire departments, Trimble County EMS, Air Methods Bedford and Kentucky State Police responded to the scene.
