Marsha Back

Marsha Ann Back, 66, of Cross Plains, Indiana, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at her home.

She was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, July 15, 1953, to Clifton and Thelma Knigga Deamron. She was a 1971 graduate of Dillsboro High School. She was a former employee of Belterra Casino and the Rising Star Casino where she worked as a reservation clerk. She also helped her husband on the farm and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church at Friendship.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Back, one son Michael J. Back of Westport, Indiana; two daughters Jennifer Ralston of Versailles, Indiana, and Jill Schwamberger of Greenfield, Indiana; seven grandchildren; two brothers Terry Deamron of Greenwood, Indiana, and Ricky Deamron of Greensburg, Indiana, and one sister Linda Sniegowski of Aurora, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden near Madison, Indiana. Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Bear Creek Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

Billy Sargent

William E. “Billy” Sargent, 64, of Madison, Indiana, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Indiana.

John White of Dupont, Indiana, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at his home. Arrangements will be announced by the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Indiana.

Jackie Snow

Jackie L. Snow, 55, of Ghent, Kentucky, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

He was born Dec. 29, 1963, in Carroll County, Kentucky, to William Stanley Snow and Irene Noble Snow. He worked for the Lesco Company as a Forklift Operator and also did farm work. He was co-owner of the Double Deuce’s Bar & Grill in Ghent. He was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church. He had served in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Mills Snow of Ghent; two sons, Jason Devine of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, and Jackie William Snow of Worthville, Kentucky; three daughters, Amy Saint and Kristy Lee, both of Saraland, Alabama, and Amanda Collins of Worthville; seven sisters, Eva Harmon and Debbie Patterson, both of Carrollton, Kentucky, Stacey Snow of Independence, Kentucky, Leshia Osburne of Worthville, and Marsha Kinman, Nana Robbins and Stella Snow of Ghent; seven brothers, Larry Snow of Sevierville, Tennessee, Greg Snow and Bobby Snow, both of Ghent, Bill Osburne of Florence, Kentucky, Stanley Snow of Owenton, Kentucky, and Jamie Snow and Freddy Snow, both of Rushville, Indiana, and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Theresa Lane Snow, Donna Snow, Diane Noble and Winifred Sutton, and a brother, Sonny Snow.

Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at the Ghent Baptist Church.

Burial was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Ghent Baptist Church Restoration Project in care of the funeral home.

Melvin Stoltzfus

Melvin B. Stoltzfus, 5 months and 10 days, of Versailles, Indiana, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born March 28, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati to David Fisher and Sarah Stoltzfus Beiler Stoltzfus.

He is survived by his parents, of Versailles; his brothers, Emanuel B. Stoltzfus, Elam B. Stoltzfus, Samuel B. Stoltzfus, and David F. Stoltzfus Jr.; his sisters, Fannie B. Stoltzfus, Mary B. Stoltzfus and Barbara B. Stoltzfus; his grandparents, Christ and Mary Stoltzfus of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and Levi and Fannie Beiler of Holton, Indiana; his great-grandfather, John K. Stoltzfus of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel B. Stoltzfus and Linda B. Stoltzfus; his great-grandparents, Rachel Stoltzfus, Isreal Beiler, David King, Jesse Stoltzfus, Nancy Beiler, Elsie King and Lavina Stoltzfus.

Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019. Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 9, 2019.

Interment was in the Ridge View Cemetery, Rexville, Indiana.

Bonnie Willis

Bonnie Rene Willis, 52, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at her home in Whittier, California.

She was born Jan. 28, 1967, at Bay Harbor Hospital in Bay Harbor City, California, to Tommy Dale and Janet Lorraine O’Dell Willis-Martin. She lived all of her life in Southern California, working in the home improvement sector where she managed at Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Joann Fabric and Craft Stores there. She had also owned and operated a party supply shop called, “The Party Shack” in Southern California.

Survivors include her mother of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Natalie Willis of Madison, Indiana, Cherrie Brow of Lake Elsinore, California, and Valarie Lopez of Bakersfield, California, and several other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A remembrance service will be conducted Thursday, Sept, 12, 2019, by her family at the Sea in Front of the Point at Fermin Light House in Los Angeles County, California.
