Rinda Oak
Rinda K. Oak, 72, of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of Madison, Indiana, died Thursday, Aug, 1, 2019, at the Nazareth Home Clifton in Louisville.
She was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Camp Hood, Texas, to Roy L. “Pete” Oak and Rita J. Simmons Oak. She loved movies, watching TV and reading James Patterson novels. She was a proud 1964 graduate of Shawe Memorial High School.
Father Christopher Craig will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Springdale Cemetery in Madison with interment to follow.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Friends of Shawe and Pope John Schools. Contributions may be made at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Richard Maiden
Richard Pat Maiden, 83, of Glencoe, Kentucky, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at the Gallatin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, Kentucky.
He was born Aug. 11, 1935, in English, Kentucky to Stoy and Dora Patton Maiden. He was a member of the Glencoe Church of Christ. He was retired from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as a highway resident engineer. He was a member of Tadmor Lodge #108, F. & A.M. in Warsaw, an avid coin collector, NASCAR and UK basketball fan and had served in the Army National Guard from Dec. 6, 1955 until Dec. 5, 1966.
He is survived by five daughters, Jackie Maiden Renfro of Owenton, Kentucky, Janet Gibson of Squiresville, Kentucky, Candy Osborne of Glencoe, Cindy Norris of Warsaw, and Pam Locke of New Liberty, Kentucky; three sons, Rodney Maiden of English, Pat O’Connor of Ghent, and Neal O’Connor of Sparta, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Jo Littrell Maiden.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Kentucky. Masonic rites will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 at the funeral home by members of the Tadmor Lodge #108, F. & A.M.
Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Glencoe Cemetery.

Byrl Westrick
Byrl Rae Harmon Westrick, 84, of Lockport, Kentucky, formerly of Milton, Kentucky, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at Baptist Health-LaGrange in La Grange, Kentucky.
She was born Dec. 9, 1934, in Milton to Lloyd Lee and Mary Lee Foster Harmon. She grew up in Trimble County and attended school there and also grew up in the Union Grove Church. She attended Mt.Tabor Wesleyan Church after Union Grove Church closed. She enjoyed farm life, working in tobacco and helping area farmers. She had worked earlier in life as a local dispatcher for cab companies and at a restaurant in downtown Madison, Indiana. She also had held membership in the Eagles Lodge in Madison and the Milton Fire and Rescue Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting, crocheting, the Game Show Network, her farm animals, antiques, canning, and drinking coffee throughout the day.
She is survived by one son, Garry M. Westrick of Lockport, Kentucky; one daughter, Ronda L. Westrick of Madison; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gayle Harmon of Vevay, Indiana, Keith Harmon of Bedford, Kentucky, Johnny Harmon of Milton, Kentucky, and Steve Harmon of Hamilton, Ohio; four sisters, Francis McFarland of Patriot, Indiana, Joy Romans of Vevay, Indiana, Diane Hensley of Carrollton, Kentucky, Nadine McCane of Milton, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her foster parents who raised her, Frank and Lethia Parson; her husband, Ronald C. Westrick; one daughter, Nancy C.Westrick Moore; five sisters, Virginia Pierce, Ernestine Harmon, Opal Harmon, Ruby Dale Harmon, and her twin sister, Myrl Faye Fox, and three brothers, Bobby Harmon, Dale Harmon, and Ernest Harmon.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at 11 a.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centrein Madison. Interment will follow in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson’s Disease. Cards are available at the funeral homes.
