Norma Schoenhoeft

Norma Jean Schoenhoeft, 84, of Tipton, Indiana, formerly of Vevay, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, Indiana.

She was born August 1, 1934, in Switzerland County, to Stewart and Edith Willis Wood. She attended high school in Switzerland County, where she played softball. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for the National Red Cross in the disaster relief program and also had worked for the Pinkerton Detective Agency and Dolly Madison Bakeries. She was a member of the Ladies of the Lions Club in Lady Lake, Florida, and was a registered clown with the State of Florida, performing under the name of “Patches.”

She is survived by one son, Del Schoenhoeft of Tipton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Schoenhoeft, whom she married Nov. 1, 1956, and who died Sept. 7, 2010; her parents; and 14 brothers and sisters.

At her request, there will be no services.
