Geneva Williams Bruce, 87, of Commiskey, Indiana, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. Arrangements will be announced by Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.

Myrtle Conover

Myrtle Conover, 76, of Rexville, Indiana, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

She was born in August 21, 1942, near Bryantsburg in Jefferson County, to James Cecil and Alta Banks Campbell. She was a 1960 graduate of New Marion High School and was a cheerleader for the Panther basketball team. She was a former employee of Western Union in Madison and also the Versailles State Park. She retired as a supervisor in 2002 after 40 years with Reliance Electric in Madison. She enjoyed playing euchre, dominoes and board games with her grandchildren. She also spent her time doing puzzles, crocheting and enjoyed mowing her yard. She was a long time member of Shelby Christian Church.

She is survived by one son, Lee Conover of Hanover; two daughters, Twila Hammond of Versailles and Monica Durham of Milton, Kentucky; one brother, James Campbell of Salem; one sister, Mary Black of Cross Plains, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alva Conover, whom she married Nov. 17, 1963; and her parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home.

Nancy Leach

Nancy Jane Harmon Leach, 76, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville.

She was born Feb. 14, 1942, to Delmar Lee and Margaret Stamlerr Harmon. She worked for several years at Reliance in Madison as an assembler. She loved people, she always had time to say hello and had a smile for everyone. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.

She is survived by her husband, Buford Mar Leach of Bedford, Kentucky; her children, Tim Leach of Carrollton, Kentucky, Ricky Leach, Tony Leach and David Leach, all of Bedford; one sister, Cindy Harmon of Tennessee; one brother, Charlie Harmon of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronnie Harmon; one grandson; and one nephew.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. until the service.

The family has chosen cremation. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery at a later date.
