Ramona Jackson

Ramona Kay “Mona” Jackson, 53, of Greenwood, Indiana, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at her home.

She was born May 14, 1965, to Jess and Dorothy Poynter. She was a former reserve deputy with the Johnson Co. Sheriff’s Department.

She is survived by one son, Nigel; one stepson, Scotty Jackson; two sisters; Sherry Bear and Carrie Knight; two brothers, Michael Poynter and Jess Poynter Jr.; and several nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Kathy Cutshaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Todd Poynter.

There will be a memorial gathering from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stones Crossing Church in Greenwood.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers sent to the church or donations to the Johnson County Animal Shelter.

Angela Oresik

Angela Robbins Oresik, 67, of Madison, Indiana, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at King’s Daughters Hospital in Madison.

She was born May 30, 1951 in Madison, to James William Robbins and Geraldine Jo Bentz. She was raised by her grandmother, Ruth Marie Robbins. She was a 1969 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and a lifelong resident of the Madison and Hanover communities. She was united in marriage to Paul Heath Oresik on July 11, 1970, at the North United Methodist Church. This happy union of 45 years was blessed with a son and a daughter. She worked at a childcare center for 20 years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Hanover. She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Paul Jayson Oresik, of Columbus, Indiana; her daughter, Susan J. McDowell of Madison; her sister, Debbie Mosier of Madison; her brother, James A. Ralston of Cincinnati; her stepmother, Frances Copeland Robbins of Madison; her stepsisters, Sue Palmer of North Vernon, Indiana and Pondra Ayler of Manville, Indiana; her stepbrother, James Gilbert Waddle of South Carolina; four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, James William Robbins; her mother, Geraldine Jo Bentz; her grandmother who raised her, Ruth Marie Robbins, and her husband.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison. Interment will follow in the Brooksburg Cemetery in Brooksburg, Indiana.

Friends may visit Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Delores L. Thomas, 92, of Madison died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Hickory Creek of Madison. Arrangements will be announced by Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.

Harvey T. Wilson

Harvey T. Wilson, 80, of Commiskey, Indiana, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1938, in Switzerland County, Indiana, to Harold O. and Nettie Virginia Bear Wilson. He was raised in Cross Plains and moved to the Dupont community when he was in the sixth grade. He was a 1957 graduate of Dupont High School. He worked for the Conn Organ Company in Madison, spending seven years in the finishing department. He was employed with Rexnord/Envirex as a Class A welder for 31 years. He loved to farm, can, garden and ride horses. He was an avid hunter and gun trader. He loved watching his grandchildren in their sporting events and just being outdoors. He was a devoted and loving husband, awesome dad and papaw and a faithful member of the Lancaster Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Liza Turner Wilson of Commiskey, Indiana; his daughter, Julie Wattenbarger of Madison, Indiana; his sons, Harvey Leon Wilson and Mike Wilson of Dupont; his sister, Esther Smith of Versailles, Indiana; his brothers, Paul Wilson of Cross Plains, Indiana, and Frank Wilson of Dupont; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his brother, Harold Lloyd Wilson; and his sister, Patty Arbuckle.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at 2 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont.

Friends may visit Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
