Anna Evans

Anna Lavern Sanders Evans, 64, of Warsaw, Kentucky, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, died Sunday, July 21, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, Kentucky.

She was born Jan. 11, 1955, in La Grange, Kentucky, to Ralph and Lucille Love Hanbaugh Sanders. She grew up in Louisville, where she attended school. She was employed in laundry for Belterra Casino and Resort in Florence for five years and for the Ogle Haus in Vevay as a laundry and room attendant for five years. She was also employed by the US Shoe Factory in Vevay. Anna resided in the Vevay community and for the past 10 years in the Warsaw community. She enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and loved all animals.

She is survived by one son, Terry Elzy of Vevay; two daughters, Vicki Holder of Warsaw and Amber Elzy of Port St. Lucie, Florida; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bertha Jean “Bean” Massey and Louise Whitaker, and one brother, Raymond Gene Sanders.

A celebration of life will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Terry Elzy’s Residence, 112 Maple Street in Vevay.

Larry Wilson

Larry Dean Wilson, 56, of Brooksburg, Indiana, died Sunday, July 21, 2019, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

He was born July 27, 1962, in San Diego, California, to Lawrence Joe Wilson and Arlene May Simpson Schumacher. He was a graduate of Valhalla High School in El Cajon, California. After graduation, he served for six years in the United States Army.

He and his wife moved to Madison in February 2000 from El Cajon. He was employed by Arvin Sango in Madison as a quality-control specialist where he had worked for the past 19 years.He was a member of the American Legion Post 185 in Vevay, Indiana, and formerly served as a volunteer fireman for Milton Township Volunteer Fire Department and Ryker’s Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, both in Jefferson County. Previously, he served as an assistant chief for Ryker’s Ridge.

He is survived by his wife, Susette; one daughter: Sheena Menard of Bellview, Nebraska; three sons, Travis Wilson of Louisville, Cody Wilson of Madison, and Shane Wilson of Vevay; his mother and stepfather, Arlene and Norman Schumacher of Grants Pass, Oregon; his father and stepmother, Lawrence and Joan Wilson of Vevay; one sister, Joy Guerechit, of Santee, California; one brother, William Wilson of Pine Valley, California; nine grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

At his request, there will be no services.
