Peggy Gray

Peggy Ann Gray, 79, formerly of Madison, died Monday, July 20, 2020, at Brown County Health and Living Community in Nashville, Indiana.

She was born Nov. 13. 1940, in Trimble County, Kentucky, to Wilford Dean and Mary Francis Cox Wright. She was a lifelong resident of Madison and attended St. John’s United Church of Christ. She graduated from Madison Consolidated Schools and later attended Ivy Tech Community College in Madison. She retired from Kmart in 1999 after 25 years of service in retail sales. She then went to work for the Madison Consolidated School Corporation until 2007. She enjoyed spending time with family and was an avid reader. She did ceramics, antiquing and photography in her spare time as well as gardening and baking.

Survivors include her daughter, Christy Decker of Columbus, Indiana; a sister, Kathy Gibson of Greenwood, Indiana; her grandchildren, Brandon Decker of Orlando, Florida, Taylor Decker of Indianapolis, Chad Storm, of Columbus and Jaxon Miller and Jett Miller, both of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gregg Clubb; and two brothers, Boyd Wright and John Wright.

Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation Research.

Dee Anna Greene

Dee Anna Greene, 58, of Madison, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2020, at the emergency room at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

She was born on July 15, 1962, in Madison, to Robert Greene and Mary Mildred Boone Greene. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and attended school there. She raised two children and had been employed with Hammond’s Family Restaurant, Madison Precision and Madison Walmart. She attended West Street Church in downtown Madison and earlier in life enjoyed getting a great tan, exercising, babysitting and caring for her children.

Survivors include her son, Kean Greene of Madison; her daughter, Tiffany Greene of Madison; her brothers, Dennis Greene of Madison and Richard Greene of Bedford, Kentucky; and a niece, two aunts, several cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be announced at a later date by the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Brooksburg Cemetery in Brooksburg, Indiana.

Nola McCutcheon

Nola V. Gosman McCutcheon, 94, of Lexington, Indiana near Kent, Indiana, died Monday, July 20, 2020, at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.

She was born March 23, 1926, in Trimble County, Kentucky, to Shelby and Ethel Angell Gosman. She was raised in Trimble County and attended school there. She married Ira Andrew McCutcheon in Milton, Kentucky, on Dec. 10, 1942, and they had two daughters. They made their home in Saluda in Jefferson County, Indiana, and then moved to Hanover, farming there while Ira worked for Millican’s Garage in Hanover as a mechanic. They later purchased the business and retired after 40 years of service. She enjoyed baby sitting for many area families and treated the children like her own. She was a member of the Kent Christian Church in Kent and in 1996 they settled in Kent and she enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and mowing her lawn until the age of 92 and keeping her property immaculate. She enjoyed cooking, being with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice Liter of Lexington and Jerry Watson of Hanover; her brother, Leon Gosman of Bedford, Kentucky; her sister, Nancy Wright of Evansville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Dewayne Liter, Montane Liter, Robyn Mintier and Jason Watson; and 10 great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 73 years on Sept. 3, 2015; and four brothers, Clarence James Gosman, Marvin Earl Gosman, William E. “Jack” Gosman and Jesse Gosman.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.

Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
