Brooklynn Nicole Phillips Brandt, 24, of Hanover, Indiana, died Friday, July 24, 2020, en route to Clark Memorial Hospital with injuries sustained in a car accident in Hanover. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel, in Hanover.

Michael McClew

Michael David McClew, 63, of Dallas, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 26, 2020, at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born on June 1, 1957, to Robert and Margaret Watson McClew. He grew up on the Hanover College campus where his father formerly worked for the college as registrar and was a 1975 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana. He graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in economics and was a computer programmer working for Mobile Oil Company. He was a Christian, a mathematics and suduko whiz and a huge sports fan who enjoyed watching and attending games with his family. He was proud of crossing the United States on a 12-speed bike, from Oregon to Maine, as well as studying and traveling in Europe.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Sue McClew, of Winter Haven, Florida; his sisters, Cathy Church of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jayne McClew of Louisville; a brother, Brad McClew, of Coppell Texas; his step siblings Chris Jacob of Tampa, Florida and Stacy Crawley of Madison; and five nieces and nephews and six grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1977, his grandparents and several uncles and aunts.

A memorial will be held at a later date with cremains interred at Hanover Cemetery.

Sara Wilson

Sara Jean Tyler Wilson, 60, of Madison, Indiana, died Thursday, July 23, 2020, at her home in Madison.

She was born June 1, 1960, in Jefferson County, Indiana, to Herschel Ingle and Marjorie Jean Brown Tyler. She was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and a 1978 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She was of the Christian faith, enjoyed the outdoors, collecting antiques, knitting, loved her animals, collecting, auctions and going to sales. Sara began working at the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Madison at the age of 17, serving as a foreman for many years. She was employed with Reliance Electric in Madison for 14 years and had worked as a site manager since 2013. She donated life by the gift of blood at many blood drives by the American Red Cross, receiving her one gallon pin.

Survivors include her companion of 25 years, Chris Hartman of Madison; her son, Robert William “Will” Konkle of Madison; her stepson, Justin Hartman of Madison; her sisters, Linda Lou Wentworth of Pensacola, Florida, and Cathy Sue Thorpe and Julie Lacy, both of Madison; her brother, Kenneth Washer of Madison; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Elmer and Lucy Brown, Louis Clyde and Mary Olive Tyler; and a niece, a nephew and other relatives.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced
