James Browning

James Lee “Jimmy” Browning, 62, of Bennington, Indiana, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at his daughter’s residence in Pleasant, Indiana.

He was born Feb. 23, 1958, in Switzerland County, Indiana, to James Arthur and Mary Kathryn Klontz Browning. He was raised in Switzerland County and was a 1976 graduate of Switzerland County High School. He was a self-employed brick and stone layer in Switzerland County from 1976-2020. He was married to Jennifer “Jeni” Farrar in 1976 had resided in the Switzerland County community most of his life. He loved being a dad, going fishing and Switzerland County.

Survivors include his father, a son, Zachary Ryan Browning of Bennington; his daughters, Jessica Lee Griffith of Vevay, Indiana and Amy Browning-Varble of Pleasant; his brothers, Richard A. Browning of Fairview, Indiana, William D. Browning of Bennington and Donald W. Browning of Vevay; and eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and his infant sister, Teresa Lynn Browning, in 1961.

No services are being held at this time. Arrangments by Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay.

Charles Reinbold

Charles Joseph Reinbold, 74, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

He was born on July 24, 1945, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Charles and Edith Ware Reinbold. He was a retired teacher and athletic director at Charlestown High School for 38 years where he also coached boys and girls basketball, track and cross country. He was a former state director for U.S.S.S.A. softball and a member of the National Education Association and the Indiana State Teachers Association. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany, Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Craig Reinbold; sons, David Anthony Reinbold of Clarksville, Indiana and Gregory Wayne Reinbold and Scot J. Nugent, both of Jeffersonville; and 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Otis Nugent.

Life celebration services will be at noon on Monday, June 22, 2020, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until services on Monday.
