Dwight Canfield

Dwight Canfield, 67, of Madison, Indiana, died Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Kindred Hospital-Louisville at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born Feb. 20, 1953, in Madison, Indiana, to Harry and Ines Clegg Canfield. He attended Madison High School and retired from Canteen in 2015 as a vending route manager. He formerly worked as grocery manager at Star Food Stores and at Bigfoot Convenient Stores. He enjoyed CB radios, cooking and loved playing music on many instruments including the guitar, keyboard, drums, harmonica and trumpet.

He is survived by his significant other, Tina Snyder of Madison; his children, Susan Blair and David Canfield, both of Hanover, Indiana, Thomas Canfield and Brittany Snyder, both of Madison and Brianna Snyder of Vevay, Indiana; his sisters, LaDonna Rue and Nancy Canfield, both of Florida; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Betty, Barbara and Melanie; and his brothers, Jerry, Ronny and John.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison’s hilltop, with interment to be held later at Springdale Cemetery in downtown Madison. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from noon until time of service Wednesday.
