Audrey Andrews

Audrey Lee Andrews, 85, of Madison, Indiana, died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Hickory Creek at Madison

She was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Madison to Everett and Louise (Helt) Goins. She worked at James Grocery on Second Street as a clerk, Sample’s Ice Cream, Murphy 5 & 10, and Conn Organ. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Ladies Fireman’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by five sisters: Helen Smith, Mary Duncan, Margaret Carlow, Sherrill Holt and Karen Thomas, all of Madison; three brothers Richard Goins of Saint Marys, Georgia, and Charles and John Goins of Madison; eight nieces, 13 nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winifred Whitty Andrews in 2008; her sister, Mabel Guthrie; her brothers: William “Pinhead” Goins, Benjamin Goins, and Daniel Goins.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6.

Private graveside services will be Thursday, March 7, at Springdale Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church-Stained Glass Restoration Fund or Western Fire Company #3. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.

Kyler Jordan Browning, 7 months, died Friday, March 1, 2019, in Louisville.

She was born July 19, 2018, in Madison, to Dakota Ryan “Cody” and Casey LeAnn Gullion Browning.

She is survived by her parents of Vevay; her paternal grandparents, Donnie and Angela Morgan Browning of Vevay; her maternal grandmother, Kimberly Rusch of Hanover; her paternal great-grandfather, James Browning of Bennington, Indiana; her maternal great-grandmother, Patricia Rusch of Crothersville, Indiana; five aunts; five uncles; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay.

Cleda Mae Keeton Ashby Burress, 83, of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Madison, Indiana, and Milton, Kentucky, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida. Arrangements will be announced by the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, Indiana.



Beatrice Davis

Beatrice “Bea” Mae Long Davis, 92, of Madison died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1926, in Garrard County, Kentucky, to Elijah Marion and Suella Bolton Long. She was raised and schooled in Garrard County, Kentucky. She was a homemaker and sold Avon products for several years. She was a member of Dupont Baptist Church and attended Mt. Byrd Christian Church in Milton. She enjoyed painting and doing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Green of Madison, Indiana; one sister, Joyce Jean Halcomb of Madison; two grandsons; four great grandsons; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Davis, who died Sept. 23, 2008; her parents; three sisters, Minnie Pearl Whitaker, Ina Bertha Harrison and Christine Foley; and three brothers, Elmer Long, Kenneth Paul Long and Charles Edward Long.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will follow in Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Indiana.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Dupont Baptist Church, Mt. Byrd Christian Church or the American Cancer Society. Cards are available at the funeral homes.

Jeffrey McKinley

Jeffrey A. McKinley, 57, of Beverly Hills, Florida, formerly of Madison, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, at his home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1962, to Gary McKinley and Bessalene “Candy” McKinley. He was a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and received a degree from RETS electronics in Louisville. He spent a long career traveling in which he specialized in fire/safety installations and inspections. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was always quick to make others smile and laugh. He was an avid movie fan and spent most his life creating artwork that hangs all over the U.S.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Andrea Bolden of Beverly Hills; one son, Nikola “Nik” McKinley of Beverly Hills; two stepchildren; two sisters, Terry Pruitt of Madison and Amy Hayden of Columbus, Indiana; four step grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his foster sister, Terry McLean.

He is to be cremated at Hooper Funeral Home in Beverly Hills. There will be a private family ceremony at a later date.



Ronald Sparkman

Ronald Kelly Sparkman, 74, of Commiskey, Indiana, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at Riverview Village in Clarksville, Indiana.

He was born August 12, 1944, in Cumberland, Kentucky, to Kelly and Alberta Frazier Sparkman. He was raised and lived most his life in the North Vernon and Dupont communities. He graduated from North Vernon High School in North Vernon, Indiana. He retired in 1997 after 30 years of service with General Electric at Appliance Park in Louisville, where he operated a forklift and worked in janitorial services. He held membership in the Sons of the American Legion, VFW and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to bluegrass music and gambling.

He is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Linda Sullivan Sparkman of Jeffersonville, Indiana; one son, Melvin Sparkman of Jeffersonville; one sister, Garnet Lucas of Seymour, Indiana; one brother, Albert Sparkman of North Vernon; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jack, Paul, and Everett Sparkman; and five sisters, Reecie Lucas, Lonnie Frazier, Clara Medlin, Faye Scifres, and Cleta Reagan.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will follow in Dupont Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon until the service.
