Kenneth Sellers

Kenneth James “Kenny” Sellers, 59, of Commiskey, Indiana, formerly of Charlestown, Indiana, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana.

He was born July 1, 1960, in Louisville to Albert Eugene and JoAnn McGaren Sellers. He grew up in the Shively community of Louisville and was baptized in the St. Dennis Catholic Parish. He was a 1979 graduate of the old Bishop David Catholic High School where he was a member of the varsity basketball and baseball team. He was a forklift operator at Lehigh Hanson Cement in Speed, Indiana, and previously worked at a cabinet manufacturer company in Southern Indiana in building and construction delivery. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the Bass fishing club in Charlestown, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Erlena M. Kinnard Ford Sellers of Commiskey, Indiana; a step-daughter, Patience L. Ford Howser of North Vernon, Indiana; a step-son, Jonathan S. Ford of Deputy, Indiana; twin grandchildren, Colton and Lucas Howser; two brothers, Larry Sellers of Taylorsville, Kentucky, and David Sellers of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; a sister, Connie Hopper of Louisville; and two step-sisters, Joan Gagel and Ann Calvert, both of Louisville; four sisters-in-law, Sandra Sellers of Louisville, Linda Brown and Missy Kinnard Davis, both of Madison, Indiana, and Karen Brown of Salem, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Steve Sellers, and and his step-father, Ben Gagel.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery near Commiskey, Indiana.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
