Kathy Bower

Katherine “Kathy” Mae Singer Bower, 64, of Madison died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at The Waters of Clifty Falls.

She was born August 2, 1954, in LaGrange, Kentucky, to Arthur Leroy and Pauline Asher Singer. She lived most her life in Madison and attended Southwestern High School. She had worked as a cashier at Madison Mini Mart and was a member of Major Samuel Woodfill Post 9 of the American Legion.

She is survived by one son, Jeffery Brandenburg of Madison; one brother, Donnie Singer of Madison; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bower; her parents; one sister, Shirley Cutshall; and one brother, Danny Singer.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, Indiana.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 5 p.m. until the service.

Charles Bryce Gatliff, 19, of Madison died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Versatile Processing Group INC in an industrial accident. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.

Nancy Louden, 75, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Williamstown, Kentucky. Arrangements are pending with Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Kentucky.

Paul May

Paul Sidney “Sid” May, 81, of Carrollton, Kentucky, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

He was born August 17, 1937, in Carroll County, to Charles and Hallie Harmon May. He had retired from the former Arkema Chemical Company, currently PMC Organometallix, as a maintenance foreman. He was a former member of Carrollton Moose Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla Frances Meadows May of Carrollton; one son, Paul B. “P.B.” May of Carrollton; one daughter, Glenda May Liter of Bedford, Kentucky; one brother, Warren May of Berea, Kentucky; two sisters, Barbara Reed of Tennessee and Eva Carol Loaring of La Grange, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Todd May; his parents; three brothers, Robert L. May, Herschel May and Charles May; three sisters, Wilma Campbell, Virginia Reeves and Gladys Josephine Boldery.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial will follow in Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery in Campbellsburg, Kentucky.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
