James Calabris, 74, of Madison died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.

Rollan McCarty

Rollan McCarty, 74, of Madison died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at The Waters of Clifty Falls.

He was born April 19, 1944, in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of Mark and Effie Burton McCarty. He worked in tobacco and as a groundskeeper. He enjoyed dancing, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is survived by four sisters, Athlene Stewart and Rita Wise, both of Madison, Loretha Baker of Dover, Ohio, and Verna Walters of Elkton, Maryland; two brothers, Luke McCarty of Milton, Kentucky, and Jerry McCarty of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Wanda Banks; and five brothers, Delmar, Kenneth, Abner, Glen and Junior McCarty.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel. Burial follow in Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Floyd McEntire

Floyd W. McEntire, 64, of Covington, Kentucky, died Thursday, Oct. 18 at his home.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristin McEntire of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Amie McEntire of Vevay, Indiana; one son, Floyd McEntire Jr. of Florida; two brothers, Rick McEntire of Independence, Kentucky, and Roger (Rocky) McEntire of Surry, Virginia; one sister, Jenola (Nonie) Breeden of Glencoe, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and June McEntire; a sister, Sandy McEntire Maya; and two brothers, Steve (Fluff) McEntire and Teddy McEntire.

There will be a celebration of life at Gallatin Community Church in Warsaw, Kentucky, on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
